After two sweet weeks of absolute hibernation, completing day dream marathons and borrowing wisdom and experience through literary absorption, I feel like I've shed a light into areas of myself, that in daily life get overshadowed by unnecessary stress and doubt. I'm one of the many, who will push myself harder, believing that rush, that slight wobbling of the knees after you've had one too many coffees, is a building block in my career that means I make myself deserved for the privileges I have. But that true fulfillment in my personal experience and opinion, only kicks in when I'm two steps away from it. Rested. Calm. For the past years I've seen myself more dedicated to and fulfilled by my personal goals than ever before in my life, but it's allowed me to get away with excusing bad habits in my lifestyle and thought patterns, and it's truly (truly) magical when you finally start tapping into that sleep account, and see how just resting up, changes your whole outlook, optimism and inspiration. Working yourself harder, pushing yourself into another hour at the screen, until you realise you've been looking at the box until one day caught up with the next, is not productive but was in my case a white lie I insistingly held on to, believing everything could be done by two hands only. Instructions for 2017? Delegate. Work with as much passion and dedication as always, but not least: dance until the sun gets up and lie flat for a day whilst the earth still keeps spinning. As much as we need to make ourselves worthy of the places we have come to now, you also deserve moments away from it to nurture and preserve that attraction and inspiration.
